Rare cars go under the hammer

THIS rare 1921, 20 horsepower Rolls-Royce Goshawk was one of the most sought after items going under the hammer at a recent collectors’ car auction at Sandown Park. Believed to be the earliest surviving example of the baby Rolls-Royce, the car fetched £34,000 at auction.

The 1959 ‘frog eye’ Austin Healey Sprite marked a new era in sports cars. This car  had been off the road since 1972 before it was taken for an MOT. It sold for £8,800
