Man killed in another A3 collision

A MAN has died after an accident involving a car and a lorry on the A3.

Police said the victim, believed to be in his late 60s, was driving a blue Ford Fiesta which collided with a lorry on the southbound carriageway between Hook and Esher at 12.35pm on Friday.

He was pronounced dead at hospital.

Two lanes of the carriageway were closed but have since been re-opened to traffic.

Anyone who witnessed the collision or saw the vehicles involved prior to the incident should contact Surrey Police on 01483 639922.

The death comes a week after 57-year-old Wanda Mary Harden, from Horley, died when her car collided with a lorry and a truck on the A3 between Burpham and Guildford.
